I have always believed that art begins where words break open, where memory, emotion, and silence meet. My work lives in that space, between what is seen and what is felt.

I am an artist, author, and poet, but also a seeker of patterns; the psychology of why we love, why we ache, and how we survive. Much of my writing is born from this tension: the pull between longing and letting go, between what the mind knows and what the heart refuses to forget.

Fragments are the language I return to again and again. In them, I find truth. A fragment of a poem can hold more than an essay. A fragment of paint on canvas can reveal what words never could. Each piece, whether written or painted, becomes a mirror to the psyche, reflecting wounds, resilience, and the quiet courage it takes to heal.

My name is Michelle, though many know me simply as Mia. It is a nickname that feels like home, the voice I write in, the thread that ties my inner and outer worlds together.

My poetry is raw with honesty, tracing the contours of love, grief, and self-discovery. My art leans into metaphor; fractured mirrors, shadows, and light, as symbols of the inner world we all navigate. My stories weave the personal with the universal, holding both the intimacy of confession and the structure of myth.

At its heart, my work is not only expression, it is excavation. It is the act of looking inward with unflinching eyes, of peeling back layers until the psychology of pain reveals the possibility of transformation.
